April 2012 - Lake O'Hara

My friend Pierrette and I decided to hike around Lake O'Hara due to the thunderstorm forecasted in Kananaskis. Luckily, a reservation got canceled and we took advantage of the unique opportunity. You must know that you have to reserve the hike in advance. Anyways, I picked this picture for the incredible diamond shape of the lake. The mountains surrounding the lake and clouds, the blue sky and the glacier make a perfect picture. My camera was not able to cover the whole scenery which was too bad. It was a warm day in August and the hike was stunning. It is well mark for must of the area. It is a popular hike so you have to go there at least once in your life. To get to this lake you have to hike up (it is not flat) for around less then 2 hours and the hike is guaranteed 100 percent awesome views!
